AI Authorised Rep

Are you offering general-purpose AI models to EU users?

If your business is not established in the EU, you will need to appoint an AI Authorised Representative (Article 54) by August 2, 2025.

If you intend to offer high-risk AI systems in the EU, you will require an AI Authorised Representative (Article 22) by August 2, 2026.

Exemptions exist for solely scientific R&D, before reaching the market, and for AI systems licensed for free on open source basis unless it’s a high-risk AI system, or is a prohibited AI practice (Article 2(6, 8, and 12)).

A Lionheart AI Authorised Rep can assist you with mandated AI Authorised representative tasks. You can use our Ireland-based address as your one-stop-shop for regulatory communications. You’ll enjoy the convenience of English as an official language and the Common Law judicial system of Ireland. Benefits including enhancing your data compliance capabilities and EU market share.
